4GRR6N8288XM
holistic natural healing management health careMost people avoid salt because of they think that it is bad for you. This could not be farther from the truth. In order to have proper natural healing management, one must get plenty of salt, but cut out refined salt. Many studies have proven that a low-salt diet actually increases hypertension. The reason people get these refined and unrefined salt confused is because, although they are both called salt, they are actually very different.

Refined salt primarily consists of sodium and chloride. Unrefined natural salt consists of a wide range of minerals including potassium and magnesium. These minerals are vital to the bodies function. Without them, you will be more susceptible to an elevated blood pressure. According to the National Academy of Sciences, the average adult needs 2300 mg of salt daily. That is equivalent to about one teaspoon of salt. Without the adequate amount of salt, nothing will work in the body. One of the most important functions of salt is to regulate the movement of water in and out of the cells through the process of osmosis.

There is a reason that people visit “salt baths.” Salt is very beneficial for the outside of the body! It is a very important part of overall holistic natural healing. Extremely salty water can help improve the appearance of the skin. Soaking your body in salt water is actually one of the best ways to alleviate skin ailments such as eczema as well as treat sore muscles. In addition, soaking in highly concentrated salt water can be relaxing and is one of the easiest stress management strategies!

According to the National Academy of Sciences, the average adult needs 2300 mg of salt daily. That is the equivalent of one teaspoon of salt. This salt is very important to the normal functioning of the body. Without an adequate amount of salt, nothing will work in the body including: breathing, digestion, nutrient transport, oxygen dispersal, and nerve impulses. One of salt’s main functions is to regulate the movement of water in and out of cells through the process of osmosis. Without this process, your metabolic functions wouldn’t work.

Not only do most people not consume enough natural salt; they are consuming an exuberant amount of refined, processed salt. When refined salt is used for everything in our food supply, it creates havoc in our system. When we have too much refined salt without other minerals to balance it out, water quickly moves from the inside of cells to the outside. This actually dehydrates your cells! One of the best ways to exercise holistic health care is make sure that we get enough natural salt. You can buy natural salt from some organic retailers and from http://www.9secrets.com/. A rich mix of unrefined natural salt and other minerals will ensure that the cells remain healthy and hydrated.

holistic natural health Healthy Eating Habits and Weight Loss

holistic health management, natural healing, holistic natural health

Many people use the word “metabolism” without really knowing what it means. Your metabolism is the sum total of all the chemical reactions in your body. Every day your metabolism is how your body creates new hormones, enzymes, neurotransmitters, and other cellular chemicals to help you perform daily tasks. It uses up energy and rebuilds cells that have been destroyed or damaged by the wear and tear of living each day.

Natural weight loss should be the result of lifestyle changes, not unhealthy dieting. Weight loss and healthy lifestyle changes actually go hand in hand. Once you embrace holistic health management, it will be much easier to shed the pounds without dieting at all! Weight loss is not supposed to be stressful, it should be a natural result of what Dr. S Don Kim calls a “detoxification lifestyle.” Most of us have extremely toxic lifestyles that are certainly not conducive to losing weight. By decreasing toxins in the body, we can optimize our metabolism.

The first step to detoxification is drinking water. As soon as you wake up, you need to drink a glass of water. After not drinking anything while sleeping, your body needs to hydrate! Dr. Kim says that we need to drink half of our body weight in fluid ounces over the course of the day. For example, if one weighs 150 lbs, he or she must drink 75 fluid ounces of water over the course of the day. This will not only detoxify your body, but speed up your metabolism to produce weight loss and natural healing.

Drinking water is not the only way to speed up metabolism. Healthy eating habits are also a very important part of maintaining a toxin-free lifestyle. Studies have shown that thin, healthy people eat breakfast every morning. When you wake up in the morning, your body has fasted all night and needs to replenish. In addition, eating sugar-rich breakfast foods is not conducive to a healthy lifestyle. For the best health and metabolism, a protein-rich breakfast with fruits and vegetables is optimal! Moving forward in the day, lunch should be a strong meal as well, while dinner should be the smallest meal of the day. In the evening, your body does not need as much fuel. If you eat a huge meal for dinner, the food will sit in the stomach and be turned into fat while you sleep.

One of the biggest mistakes we make is eating while stressed. This slows down your metabolism and does not promote holistic natural health. When you eat under stress, you eat too fast, don’t chew enough, and don’t breathe while eating. All of these things actually decrease nutrient absorption in the body. So make sure you eat three meals a day and slow down while you’re eating! You will enjoy the food more and will absorb more nutrients.

Board Certification for Podiatrists

When looking for a Long Beach Foot Doctor, there are many different things to consider. The skill of the doctor and the friendliness of the staff are one consideration. In addition, a doctor can be completely qualified and still not be the right match for everyone. The staff should treat patients with respect. In addition, the doctor should listen to problems and concerns and not rush the patient through the appointment. Also, the right podiatrist will not have a problem educating his or her patients about problems or treatment programs. It is important for the patient to hear his or her treatment plan discussed in detail, as well as the opportunity to discuss realistic goals and outcomes.

What are the qualifications of a podiatrist?

Podiatrists are defined as physicians by the federal government and in most states. DPMs receive medical education and training comparable to medical doctors, including four years of undergraduate education, four years of graduate education at one of eight accredited podiatric medical colleges and two or three years of hospital residency training. Within the field of podiatry, practitioners can focus on many different specialty areas, including surgery, sports medicine, biomechanics, geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics or primary care.

What is a podiatrist?

According to the American Podiatric Medical Association "a podiatrist is a doctor of podiatric medicine (DPM), also known as a podiatric physician or surgeon, qualified by their education and training to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the foot, ankle and related structures of the leg. Podiatrists are uniquely qualified among medical professionals to treat the foot and ankle based on their education, training and experience.” When looking for a podiatrist Orange County residents should be sure to make sure they are a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Board Certification

There are two main board certifications in podiatric medicine. The first is the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. The second is the American Board of Podiatric Orthropedics and Podiatric medicine. Since Board certification is such a difficult process, the patient can be assured that he or she is in good hands.

In Los Angeles, Orange County and Long Beach Podiatrist Centers are very popular. However, few can boast of all their podiatrists being board certified. One Long Beach Foot Surgery Center, Kim Foot & Ankles Centers Inc. can boast of all its podiatrists being certified, but that is more of an exception than the norm.

holistic health _ Take a Walk for More Energy

holistic health, natural healing, weight loss programs, natural weight loss Every day, millions of Americans leave work wishing they had enough energy to work out. They head home from their workplace and go straight to the couch to relax. Some people have many responsibilities outside of work as well such as taking care of the children or housework. However, most people don’t know that simply exercising 30 minutes a day is one of the best ways to increase holistic health. People who get regular exercise are healthier, in better health, and have more energy during the day!

The health problems associated with a sedentary lifestyle are numerous. Exercise is a great way to enhance natural healing as well as increase energy and metabolism, decrease stress and help enhance the body’s ability to get a good night’s sleep. Exercising every day seems like a difficult goal but it can actually make it easier to get through the work week with energy to spare. In addition to a healthy body, exercising can help to increase self esteem and mental acuity. In addition, a walk every day is one of the best weight loss programs out there!

Another reason why it is a good idea to exercise is because physical activity increases your oxygen level. Every part of the body needs oxygen to stay alive. Doesn’t it make sense that increasing oxygen intake would increase health and bodily functioning as well? Only 21 percent of the air we breathe is oxygen. For this reason, it is important to get the lungs in shape in order to get all the oxygen the body needs. The best way to condition the lungs is through aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise uses oxygen to get work done. Anything that gets the heart pumping can help the body to take in oxygen more effectively! Some people exercise for health reasons, but many do because they want to lose weight. Regular aerobic exercise is one of the best ways to do this! Not only will the body burn fat while working out, but it will also increase the number of calories the body burns every day!

Walking is one of the best ways to lose weight. It is easy and very effective! Humans used to walk a lot just going about their daily lives. However, today most Americans have a very sedentary lifestyle. They get in their cars, drive to work or school, and sit there for hours. People have gotten so used to this lifestyle, that it is difficult for them to plan exercise. A morning or nightly stroll can do wonders for cardiovascular health and refine the musculoskeletal system. In addition, walking can lead to better breathing, a stronger heart, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, stronger immunity and less depression. It is important to take 10,000 steps a day to stay physically and mentally healthy! Most people take between 2,000 and 4,000 steps a day. Walking is one of the easies activities a person can do! So get out and get some exercise for more energy and natural weight loss!

Hammertoe: A Common Problem

hammer toe surgery
One of the most common foot problems is hammertoe. Some people have a mild hammer toe but others have such a severe problem that they need to be treated with surgery. The condition is usually noticed when a corn develops on the top of the toe and becomes painful. Usually, the deformity exists in one toe. The base of the toe points upward and the end of the toe points down. The corn would form at the base of the toe where it points upward. A corn will usually form because the person is wearing tight shoes with not enough room for the toes. While some people are more structurally prone to develop hammer toes than others, tight footwear is a very prevalent cause of the condition. Wearing tight shoes provide the pressure that causes the symptoms. If no one ever wore shoes, than hammertoe would not develop painful corns and would not need surgery unless the hammer toe is extremely deformed. Oftentimes the condition can be treated by removing the corn and buying larger shoes, but sometimes the problem is so severe that surgery is required. It is possible that hammer toe surgery will be required.

Per a leading Long Beach Foot Doctor, in the early stages where the toe is still flexible, the deformity can be corrected by relaxing the tendons. This is done through a small incision, which often doesn’t require stitches. If the hammertoe is still present, an incision is made on the toe and a small portion of the bone is removed. Some podiatrists minimize visible scarring by placing the incision between the toes. This eliminates highly visible scars left by the traditional incision placement on top of the toes. This allows the toe to relax and assume a straighter position. Following this procedure, the patient can return to comfortable shoes and resume normal activity. As with any surgery there will be a period of recovery. During this procedure, pressure cannot be placed on the foot. There is likely to be swelling and pain. They can reduce post-surgical discomfort and make pain manageable as the toes and joints heal. The recovery time for this surgery is usually four to six weeks. During this time the patient will need to wear a cast and probably use crutches.

It is very important for parents to make sure they are buying well fitting shoes for their children. If the child’s foot grows rapidly, then it is easy for them to develop a hammer toe by wearing ill-fitting shoes. High profile counties like San Diego and Orange County Foot Surgery patients have many options including access to top podiatrists. Often doing research online will enable them to find the best foot doctor for them! Reading patient reviews can go a long way towards finding a quality foot doctor.

Stress management strategies - Get More Sleep for a Healthy Lifestyle

holistic health, holistic healing, stress management strategies, natural healing
In today’s health conscious society, health fads are a dime a dozen. But often, we tend to overlook simple effective things in favor of the complicated. Light Exercise, Eating Sensibly and Drinking Water are three common things everyone should think of when it comes to a healthy lifestyle. However, there is another important trait which is often overlooked - one of the simplest things a person can do to improve their holistic health is to sleep more!

Sleep is very important to brain functioning. During sleep, brainwaves slow down and allow the brain to take a break from taxing, high-frequency processes. Sleep promotes learning, improves proficiency at tasks, and sustains emotional well being. It also improves memory, creativity, concentration, and alertness. In addition, sleep increases the production of growth hormones, which help fuel vitality. It boosts the immune system, brain functioning, and sex drive. Also, sleep reduces signs of aging and fights against disease. Most people get less than seven hours of sleep. Seven to nine hours of sleep each night can help the body to function optimally. Lack of sleep in America is rampant, with 50 to 70 percent of people suffering from insufficient sleep!

Many people would like to get more sleep but suffer from insomnia for various reasons. Some of the biggest causes of insomnia are stress, anxiety, pain, caffeine, medicines, alcohol, processed foods, low-carb diets, exercising too late at night, going to the bathroom in the middle of the night and bad pillows or mattresses. People try all kinds of artificial methods to sleep better including costly sleeping pills. Again simple lifestyle changes and holistic healing will provide long lasting improvements for people who have insomnia. There are two main types of sleep: REM sleep and non-REM sleep. REM sleep restores the mind to its full potential; it improves ability to learn and store memories. Non-REM sleep helps to restore the body. During this stage the body releases growth hormones. Tissue grows and damage is repaired in the body. These are very important functions and without sleep they cannot occur!

There are many natural lifestyle activities to get better sleep! Daily exercise is one of the best stress management techniques. Also, during exercise the body produces serotonin which helps improve the quality of sleep. A regular sleep schedule is also very beneficial. When the body gets used to sleeping and waking at similar times sleep quality is improved. During sleep decreasing noise in the bedroom and blocking out light can make it much easier to fall asleep. Finally, decrease caffeine and alcohol consumption, especially late in the day!

In many countries, afternoon siestas are a custom. Stores and businesses literally close for a few hours in the afternoon so people can rest. Taking naps actually increases alertness and enhances performance throughout the day. Many people start to feel sleep in the afternoon. They often remedy this with caffeine. However, when this happens the body is trying to say that it needs rest. A 10-30 minute nap can go a long way towards natural healing.

Today it seems like there is a pill for everything. There are also pills prescribed for stress management. The problem with these prescriptions is that they will eventually become addictive. Side effects of the pills can be worse than the original condition. People can go about their lives in a zombie like stupor and lose the joy and excitement of living. Although in extreme cases this may be necessary, natural holistic ways to combat stress and improve health have been proven effective. Holistic health care is available.

Meditation is one of the stress management strategies used to cultivate a quiet mindful way of being. Meditation has been proven to slow the breath, quiet the mind and produce more harmonious brain activity. It only takes about 15 minutes a day to achieve positive results. Focusing on the breath is one way to meditate. Simply giving attention to the in and out breath can help to calm the body and the emotions increasing natural health. Focusing on a word or mantra is another way to refocus the mind and cause it to become calm and peaceful. These exercises can be done at any time and in any setting that may prove stressful and only take a few moments.

Natural stress management strategies can also be obtained through a variety of herbs that are available to help relieve stress. St. John’s Wort has been used for centuries to help calm the nerves and reduce stress. Valerian is another herb that has also been used to reduce stress and as an aid in sleep. A holistic health clinic is available to help with stress management. Perhaps one of the best and most natural ways to reduce stress is to simplify your life. Reclaim a joyful life through natural holistic stress reduction techniques.
